The patient is taken ashore for further treatment.

This 55 years-old fisherman was immediately moved to the island after having a stroke in the right hemisphere of his brain while fishing in the waters of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago of Vietnam. Upon receiving the information, Army Corps 18 sent an EC225 helicopter with a medical team from Military Hospital 175 to bring the patient ashore.

The patient was rushed to Military Hospital 175 for treatment after the helicopter safely landed at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the past time, the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Corporation has carried out many medical evacuation flights. Despite harsh weather conditions, they have successfully completed their mission and ensured safety for patients as well as their forces.
