Gifts for the Military School of Army Corps 1

The event was attended by Senior Colonel Truong Van Son, Deputy Political Commissar of Army Corps 1, Senior Colonel Le Van Hung, the school’s commanding officer, and representatives of the school’s departments and faculties.

At the event, Senior Colonel Le Van Hung briefed delegates on their task performance on managing the quarantine area over the past time. To date, the school has organized four concentrated quarantine periods for 1,459 citizens returning from over 20 countries and territories. Reportedly, all quarantined people were isolated at a separate area of the school and provided adequate necessities. The school is preparing to receive more citizens to its quarantine areas.

On behalf of the sponsors, Cédric Patrice Didier Fontbonnat, General Manager of the Hoang Vien – Quang Ba Co., Ltd. handed over an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer, more than 2,000 medical face masks, 150 pieces of protective clothing, 150 hand sanitizers, and numerous necessities, worth over VND 100 million, to the school. He hopes that the gifts will support the school in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the time to come.

The same day, the delegation visited and offered gifts to troops and medical workers at the quarantine area of Regiment 151 of the Ha Nam Provincial Military Command. Currently, the Regiment is overseeing quarantine time for 81 citizens, who had close contact with COVID-19 infected cases in the province.

After giving the gifts, representatives of the delegation expressed gratitude for the efforts of the units’ troops and employees and thanked the units’ leadership for receiving and creating favorable conditions for them during the visit.
