Songs encourage the COVID-19 containment efforts and praise people on the frontline

The song was inspired by the Party’ and State’s concerns and care for Vietnamese expats returning  home from COVID-19 hit countries and the enthusiasm and voluntary spirit of medical workers and military and public security troops in fighting COVID-19. The song also features the Vietnamese Government’s commitment that no one will be left behind during the pandemic time.

The song, performed by singers Thu Thuy, Hong Ngoc, Hong Duyen and Lan Anh, is one of the seven music pieces that have been made to encourage the COVID-19 containment efforts of the whole community and praise people working on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19. Those songs will be performed at an art program, themed “COVID-19 Prevention and Control,” jointly held by the theater and the Army Broadcasting Center.

According to Colonel Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh, the theater’s Director, the songs not only demonstrate the responsibility to the community of the theater’s artists and workers, but also serve as gifts for the public.

Alongside the artistic program, the theater will coordinate with the Army Broadcasting Center to produce four other programs to serve troops and people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Performances in the programs praise the Party, Uncle Ho, the nation and especially Vietnamese peacekeepers and coast guard force.

Recently, the theater’ artists also prepared for the National Traditional Musical Instrument Solo and Orchestra Competition 2020, which is scheduled to be organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in November in Dak Lak province, and an exchange between ASEAN navies.

When practicing art programs for the upcoming events, the troupe has strictly observed the Prime Minister’s instructions on social distancing and taken COVID-19 prevention measures, such as wearing facemasks, measuring body temperature and disinfecting stages.
