Nine troubled fishermen saved at sea

Earlier on October 2, a trawler coded TTH 96365 TS, captained by Mr. Duong De born in 1978 in Thuan An ward, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province, experienced engine failure and went drift while fishing in the waters of the province. At that time, the trawler had eight fishermen on board.

Secretary of Thuan An ward's Party Committee Ngo Van Du and Commanding Officer of the Thua Thien Hue Border Guard Command Colonel Hoang Minh Hung inquire after captain Duong De.

Upon receiving the information, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command promptly mobilized Ship BP 31-11-01 and eight troops of Flotilla 2 to the scene.

Meanwhile, the Border Post of Thuan An Port called on nearby trawlers TTH 49125 TS, TTH 92945 TS and NA 99886 TS to support the rescue team.

The medical staff provide health check-ups for troubled fishermen.

At 22:40 on the same day, the captain and eight fishermen were saved successfully. The nine troubled fishermen then were brought to the Border Post of Thuan An Port for medical examination at 1:10 on October 3. At present, all fishermen are in stable health conditions.
