The checkup recipients were then presented with gifts including milk powder, clothing, sugar and cooking-oil, among others.
Besides, the joint teams also visited, gave health checkups and gifts to local heroic Vietnamese mothers.
Tan Phu Dong is an impoverished district with high rate of poverty, difficulties in transport and low access to modern health services.
Meanwhile, 700 people in Xuan Le and Mau Son communes, Cao Loc district of Lang Son province received health checkups, medical consultation, and medicine for free from the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine and Lang Son Provincial Border Guard Command.
This regular activity of the two units aims to improve health of local ethnic minority groups, ease their adversities in life and tighten the military-civilian ties.
