During the program, Naval Region 4 and accompanying units provided health check-ups, free medicine, gifts, and first aid kits to nearly 100 fishermen. They also donated 10 gift sets to disadvantaged fishermen's families and presented seven bicycles to the children of fishermen who have excelled academically despite difficult circumstances in Thanh Hai commune. Additionally, the unit handed over 300 life jackets, 50 lifebuoys, 500 national flags, and 300 sets of materials titled "Essential Information for Fishermen" to the local community. The total value of the gifts exceeded VND 200 million.

Speaking at the event, Captain Nguyen Xuan Dung, Deputy Political Chief of Naval Region 4, emphasized that in recent years, Naval Region 4 has closely coordinated with the Ninh Thuan provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as with various agencies, departments, and local authorities of Ninh Thuan province, to make this program increasingly practical and effective. Moreover, the naval region has successfully carried out communications activities concerning maritime sovereignty and human resource development for the modernization of the Naval Service.

This program is also expected to contribute to raising public awareness of the importance of Vietnam's sea and islands, the contents of the Law of the Sea of Vietnam, and regulations for fishing activities in different sea areas, helping to build a close connection between the people and the naval troops in safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands.
