Naval Region 2 delegation extends New Year greetings to DK1 platforms

A ceremony to see off the delegation was held earlier the same day by the Naval Region 2 Command.

At the event, Senior Captain Dang Manh Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 assigned tasks to the mission. He wished the mission, which is on Ships Truong Sa 10 and Truong Sa 21, a good and safe voyage with all assignments  completed.

Together with New Year wishes, the delegation will inspect combat readiness of troops on DK1 platforms, on-duty ships, and at radar stations. The delegation will also visit organizations and armed forces which are stationed in Con Dao island district.

During the 13-to-15-day voyage, the delegation will hand over more than 500 New Year gifts and necessities from the Ministry of National Defense, Naval Service, Naval Region 2 Command, localities, organizations, enterprises to troops and organizations.

The trip is significant, demonstrating the due attention from the Party, the State, the military and the Naval Service to officers and troops undertaking duties at sea, on islands, and on the Southern continental shelf of the nation on the occasion of the upcoming traditional New Year.
