Naval Region 2 extends Tet greetings to radar station
PANO - A mission of the Naval Region 2 Command, led by its Deputy-Commander, Senior Colonel Huynh Vinh Tuyen, on January 13 visited Radar Station 590, Regiment 251, Naval Region 2, in Con Dao island district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
At the meeting, Captain Dong Xuan Minh, Head of the station, briefed the delegation on the unit's task performance last year and their major tasks in 2019 with a focus on raising the quality of training and combat readiness, closely observing vessel moving into and out of its designated area, and ensuring technical and logistic work for all missions.

On behalf of the delegation, Senior Colonel Tuyen spoke highly of Radar Station 590's achievements in implementing the 2018 assigned missions, and extended greetings to its troops on the occasion of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
He also asked the unit to continue improving troops' political stance and professional abilities, embrace and implement directives and resolutions of higher levels, and actively master equipment to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Previously, the delegation paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Hang Duong Cemetery and visited some historical relic sites in Con Dao island district.
