Naval Fleet 129 brings clean water to people in Ben Tre province
PANO - Naval Fleet 129 of the Saigon Military Port of the Vietnam People's Navy, in association with the Fatherland Front Committee, the Fisheries Sub-Department, and authorities of Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province, on March 14 provided clean water to people in areas saltwater intrusion in Ben Tre province.
After being instructed by the Naval Command, the Saigon Military Port's Chain-of-Command requested on-duty Ship 937 of Naval Fleet 129 to load 300 cubic meters of fresh water to help people in coastal areas of Ben Tre province.
After nearly a day, Ship 937 arrived at Cai Mon wharf (Ben Tre province) and brought fresh water to people who are facing a shortage of fresh water.
On the occasion, a delegation of Naval Fleet 129 and local authorities inspected some drought-hit and saltwater intrusion areas to find approaches to supporting people in the coming time.
