The Naval Service dispatched a team of 40 members, including 30 divers and 10 commanding officers and logistical personnel. They brought along essential equipment, including two trucks (one for transporting troops and another for gear and diving equipment), as well as various other specialized tools.

Divers from Commando Brigade 126 are organized into rotating teams to search the area downstream from Phong Chau Bridge to the newly constructed pontoon bridge on the Hong (Red) River.

According to local authorities, after the Phong Chau ridge collapsed, the Civil Defense Commanding Board of Phu Tho province directed efforts to resolve the situation, including searching for missing individuals and retrieving vehicles. On the morning of October 1, the divers from Commando Brigade 126 coordinated with on-site forces to carry out the underwater search operation.

Here are several photos featuring preparations of the Brigade 126's troops for the mission.
