MR9 donates free face masks to military units
PANO – The Trade Union Board of Military Region 9 (MR 9) on March 24 organized a program to hand over 8,000 face masks to union members from the region’s affiliated units due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Head of the region’s Trade Union Board, Major Tran Thien Tao, this is the two-layer antibacterial cloth mask. The first layer is colored cloth, consisting of 65% Polyester and 35% Viscose. The inner layer is white cloth that contains 100% Viscose puree. Each mask, produced by the Garment Factory of the Department of Logistics of MR 9, can be used up to 30 times of washing.
Besides, the board also presented 1,000 liters of antiseptic solution and mouthwash to various military units.
This was a practical activity, contributing to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic while raising staff’s awareness of the disease prevention. It also showed the care of the trade union board towards MR9’s affiliated units.
