On September 18, the Military Command of Dak Mil district of the Dak Nong provincial Military Command launched “Zero VND Truck” model to support people in localities in social distancing period under the Prime Minister's Directive No.16.
Particularly, the truck transported two tons of rice, more than six tons of vegetables, 2,000 eggs and 2,000 herbal bath bags, worth VND 200 million in total, to people in seven lock-down areas in Dak Mil townlet and Dak Lao commune of Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province.
The same day, a mission of the Institute of Technology under the General Department of Defense Industry gave 5,000 N95 facemasks to support the Long An provincial Military Command’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts.

In Trang Bom district of Dong Nai province, the Military Region 7 Command, in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City’s Business Association, handed over 500 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to needy people in the district.
On the occasion, the Military Region 7 Command and local authorities visited and presented Mid-autumn gifts to two children whose relatives passed away due to COVID-19. The mission also handed over cash to help the two children buy books and notebooks.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the Military Command of Phu My town under the provincial Military Command handed over 300 gifts to needy people who are renting lodgings in Phu My and Tan Phuoc wards of Phu My town.

Also on September 18, the Women’s Union chapter of Chau Duc district of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Thien Sinh Charity Group handed over 1,400 gifts, including vegetables and eggs, to pandemic-affected people in Long Hai town. Earlier, two units had presented 2,000 gift packages, including vegetables, instant noodles, and eggs, to people in rented lodgings in Chau Duc district.
In a bid to share difficulties with pandemic-affected people, the Military Women’s Advisory Board worked with relevant agencies of the Hanoi Capital Command and other military units in Hanoi to present 1,050 gifts to policy beneficiaries and needy people in Me Linh, Phuc Tho and Hoan Kiem districts.
