Also, he affirmed that over the past time, the Party and State have been paying close attention to taking care of wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs and national contributors.
Particularly, the CMC and MND have attached much importance to advising the Party and the State to promulgate and implement various new policies for the military, troops’ families and national contributors, as well as conduct gratitude activities and boost martyrs’ remains search and collection work.
Towards the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022), the whole military has launched an emulation program, themed “When drinking water, remember its source and pay gratitude to national contributors,” built 1,769 gratitude houses, and presented 500 savings books for needy policy beneficiaries and national contributors.
In addition, activities to present silk ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) to heroic Vietnamese mothers who are being taken care of by military units, and offer military uniforms and warm clothes to wounded and sick soldiers who are under treatment in convalescent centers have also been held, among others.

On the occasion, the CMC and MND provided medical supplies and equipment to the centers and gave wounded and sick soldiers military uniforms, warm clothes, and VND 2 million per person.
* The same day in Hanoi, Major General Phung Quoc Tuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, chaired a meeting with the delegation of reputable people from ethnic minority groups in Quang Tri province.
At the meeting, Mrs. Ho Thi Minh, Deputy Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, briefed the Vietnam Border Guard Command on the outstanding achievements gained by elder villagers, patriarchs, and reputable ethnic people in Quang Tri province over the past time.
Thanks to the close attention of the provincial Party Committee and authorities, the province has witnessed gradual socio-economic developments, contributing to raising the local living standards and ensuring national defense and security.
