Eighty national contributors from Bac Lieu province at the event

In recent years, the Party Committee, authorities, military and people in Bac Lieu have overcome difficulties with dynamism, creativity and determination, and achieved significant and comprehensive successes in various fields. Notably, the implementation of policies for people with great contribution to the country have been constantly emphasized.

According to deputy head of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Nhu, the locality has over 71,000 national contributors and relatives of martyrs.

At the meeting, Col. Le presented gifts from the Ministry of National Defense to the national contributors and informed them about some significant results in policies concerning the military and its rear.

Accordingly, monthly allowances have been provided for over 26,000 people engaged in the resistance war against the French colonialists, nearly 1.7 others in the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists, over 1.3 million people in the national defense struggle and doing international services in Laos and Cambodia and over 1.4 conscripted workers.

Agencies and units in the military have paid due attention to the gratitude-paying movement, helping build over 8,000 gratitude houses.
