Reportedly, military agencies and units have built more than 570 houses, worth more than VND 35.6 billion, taken care of 1,853 Vietnamese heroic mothers, presented 40 savings books to policy beneficiaries, provided free health check-ups and medicines to over 46,100 people, and allocated VND 10 billion to assist convalescent centers, friendship villages, and the Vietnam Association for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims to take care of wounded troops and those in need.

Over the past months, due to disaster consequences in provinces of the Central region, the MND directed its affiliated units to carry out search and rescue missions and disaster relief.

Currently, Vinh Long province has over 70,000 policy beneficiaries and national contributors, including over 16,300 fallen soldiers, over 4,500 wounded soldiers, and 2,850 Vietnamese heroic mothers (only 143 of them are alive).
