With modern medical equipment, the MMU screened more than 1,000 participating people and provided advice concerning common diseases for locals. During the program, nearly 1,000 students of Can Ty and Bat Dai Son communes of Quan Ba district enjoyed heart disease screening. At the same time, many meaningful gifts were presented to beneficiaries. The MMU also handed over a great unity house to Vang Mi Pao, a needy wounded soldier in Ta Van commune of the district.

The medical program is one of the annual activities of the MMU to uphold the noble tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” of the Vietnamese people and to pay tribute to those who have shed their blood and sacrificed their lives for the nation. The program also provided assistance to needy people in mountainous and remote areas in everyday life and helped cement military-civilian ties.
