Ministry of National Defense builds house for wounded soldier
PANO – Authorized by leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Quang Ngai provincial Military Command has handed over a gratitude house to Tran Tien Dung in Nghia Lam commune, Tu Nghia district.
This was part of the activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the people’s festive day and the 75th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Tran Tien Dung is a wounded soldier who is leading a hard life and living in a downgraded house. Learning about his condition, the Ministry of National Defense worked with the local leadership to allocate VND 80 million from the “Gratitude” fund to build a house for Dung. The 90sq.m house was completed after seven-months of construction.
At the ceremony, Military Region 5 Command, the Quang Ngai provincial Military Command, and the Military Command of Tu Nghia district presented gifts and household appliances to Dung’s family.
