Naval Region 2, on September 16, successfully saved a fisherman in distress at the national waters bordering Indonesia and took them ashore safely.

Reportedly, at 19:00 on September 16, Ship 215 of Naval Region 2 received information about a distressed fisherman on trawler BV 92988 TS, captained by Nguyen Van Hieu from Phuoc Binh hamlet, Phuoc Tinh commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province while operating at sea.

Accordingly, fisherman Nguyen Van Truc, born in 1982 from Dai An 1 commune, Cu Lao Dung district, Soc Trang province, was injured in his head and left shoulder.

After receiving the information, despite harsh weather conditions, the naval troops overcame difficulties to rush to the scene as soon as possible.

Giving the distressed fisherman first aids

A medical team of the unit gave the fisherman in distress first aids and brought him to Con Dao Island for further treatment.

* On the same day, Hai Phong city’s Border Guard Command safely rescued three fishermen in the local waters.

Earlier, at 0:35, Ship 4274 of Phuc Nam Company Limited (Nam Son ward, Kien An district, Hai Phong city), starting from Quang Ninh, sank in Cai Trap canal, Cat Hai district. Three fishermen on the ship, captained by Nguyen Van Sau, born in 1971 from Hop Thanh commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city, were in distress.

After receiving the information, Flotilla 2 of Hai Phong city’s Border Guard Command sent a patrol team to work with the Cat Hai Border Post to rescue the three fishermen. Their health is in stable condition now.
