* On the same day, the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine and the Lang Son provincial Border Guard Command provided free health check-ups, medical counseling, and medicines to national contributors and poor residents in Tu Mich commune, Loc Binh district, Lang Son.

Reportedly, the two units annually conduct this joint activity with the aim of providing additional healthcare services for people in border and rural localities in the province.

* On May 25, the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command and the province’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union opened the first summer military semester in 2019 for more than 100 local students.

During the week-long military course, the participating students learn the heroic traditions of the country, the Vietnam People’s Army, and the host unit. They also drill in military regulations, personal military tactics, as well as participate in teamwork activities and sports and artistic exchanges.

The program aims to educate the participants about the national pride and love, and enhance their basic life skills.
