The Quang Nam provincial Military Command, in concert with the Quang Nam People’s Club, launched a program “Joining hands in sharing hardship with flood victims.”
Accordingly, 300 boxes of instant noodles, 200 packages of bottled water were presented to households in communes namely Tra Duong, Tra Dong, Tra Cot, Tra Giang and Tra My town in Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province.

On this occasion, the command handed over 50 gifts, including blankets, mosquito nets, cooking oil and more to households with deceased members or damaged houses in these localities.
* The same day, more than 300 cadres and troops of the Air Force Officer Training School collected rubbish and cleaned up the environment along beaches in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
* From November 6-7, the Khanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command mobilized over 200 troops to repair damaged houses and schools in Khanh Hoa province.
Meanwhile, six boats from Flotilla 2 and border guard posts in the locality searched for people adrift at sea or trapped on islands in the waters in Van Thanh commune, Van Ninh district.
As of the afternoon of November 7, the Khanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command retrieved 16 bodies from the floodwaters. The assigned forces are continuing to search for the missing.
* From November 5 to 7, Military Hospital 87 under the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army gave free health checkups and medicines to 230 people in Van Ninh district and Ninh Hoa township in Khanh Hoa province. They offered timely treatment to nearly 100 people injured during the storm and cleaned water resources to ensure fresh water for local people while guiding locals on disease prevention.
* Missile Regiment 282 of Air Defense Division 375 of the Air Defense Air Force Service on November 6-7 deployed speedboats and troops to flooded Dien Ngoc ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province to support locals. The unit teamed up with local authorities to save five people from flooded areas and transport 500kg of instant noodles and fresh water to the locals.
Also on November 6-7, troops of Battalion 56 of Air Force Division 372 promptly cooperated with local people to tidy up coastal areas in Da Nang city to better serve the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.
