Accordingly, Ha Tinh will receive 3,500 tons while the remaining will be sent to Son La. The two provinces were asked to ensure to distribute the rice promptly to appropriate beneficiaries.
If difficulties are still lingering on after receiving the aid, the provinces should report to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Finance for further assistance.
* As part of this campaign to alleviate any disaster after-affects, a delegation of medical personnel from the Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics provided free checks-up and medicines for 800 children in Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province.
Tram Tau was recently hit by Doksuri, the 10th storm in the East Sea (South China Sea) and the strongest one hitting Vietnam in many years.
The medical personnel presented gifts to 35 local families heavily affected by the storm, and handed over a fridge and VND 10 million in cash to the clinic in Hat Luu commune of Tram Tau.
The total expense of the program was VND 250 million, raised by the hospital’s staff and local donators.
