A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, visited Long Dat Convalescent Center for Wounded Soldiers and National Contributors in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, General Nam inquired after and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, expressing his appreciation to the wounded soldiers for their great contribution to the cause of national liberation and defense. They also promoted noble virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and set good examples for the youths.

General Nam also noted that the Party, authorities, people and troops have paid due attention to the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries.

In addition, General Nam also offered gifts of the city’s Party Committee and Military Command to wounded soldiers at the center.

On the same day, Division 302, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District No.10, Ho Chi Minh City, the People’s Committee of Loc Ninh district (Binh Phuoc province) held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over two houses to Mrs. Thi K’liem’s family from Loc Thuan commune and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhu from Loc Hung commune (Loc Ninh district).

Each house was built in an area of 60 square meters at a cost of VND 240 million which was provided by the division, the Fatherland Front Committee of District 10 and some sponsors.

Earlier, over 100 troops, together with the locals, offered incense in tribute to fallen soldiers at the monument where Division 302 was founded and the Slope 31 Victory Stele House in Loc Ninh district.

On this occasion, the Binh Thuan provincial Military Committee held a ceremony to inaugurate and handed over a comrade house to Major Tran Dinh Thach from Duc Linh district Military Command (Binh Thuan province) who had faced housing difficulty.

Reportedly, Military Region 7 supported VND 80 million to build the 60-square meter house, contributing to helping him soon stabilize his life.
