The region’s political commissar, Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, head of the delegation, handed over VND 1 million to each household affected by a recent landslide in the district.

Additionally, they presented the local victims with necessities, clothing, and beddings collected by the region’s troops.

Previously, the landslide caused by torrential rains claimed the lives of five people, destroyed  four houses, and badly affected many areas in Nam Tra My district.

Sharing difficulties with the victims, the military region sent hundreds of troops and vehicles to evacuate local residents and their property from landslide-prone areas to safer places, and then provided them with free health check-ups.

In the coming days, the region’s forces will continue to repair houses, improve paddy fields, and build a suspension bridge to help locals to re-stabilize their lives.
