Fisherman Bui Thanh Hong aboard trawler QNg 95157, while fishing in the Truong Sa fishing grounds, was hospitalized at Phan Vinh Island Infirmary when he became badly infected due to his skin condition. At that time, a delegation from Military Hospital 175, led by its director Major General Nguyen Hong Son, was checking the military medical logistics service in the island district and decided to move the patient to the mainland for treatment.
After holding a consultation, the hospital’s doctors came to a decision that the patient must be operated on to save his life.
