Medical masks and antiseptic liquid presented to Naval Region 5
PANO - The Kien Giang provincial Fisheries Association on June 2 granted 20,000 medical masks and 500 bottles of antiseptic liquid to the Naval Region 5 Command to help them in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior Colonel Vo Duc Tien, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 5, thanked the association for the support. He also informed that amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the region sent four ships with hundreds of troops to assist the border guard commands of Kien Giang, Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces to control illegal border crossings in the Southwestern waters.
During implementing assigned tasks, the troops also actively disseminated information on state laws and COVID-19 prevention and control for fishermen so as to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
On this occasion, Pjico Can Tho Insurance Company also donated 10,000 medical masks to the Naval Region 5 Command.
