Helicopter flies patient to mainland
PANO – Helicopter EC225, tail numbered VN 8622, of the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (known as Army Corps 18), on June 18 successfully flew a patient from Truong Sa island district to the mainland for treatment.
While working, N.N.N.K (born in 1994) felt weak and unable to walk. He was hospitalized at the island’s infirmary while he suffered a severe headache and had some difficulties in speaking. His symptoms were diagnosed as left-hemisphere brain stroke and right hemiplegia.
Therefore, doctors at the island infirmary decided that the patient should be taken ashore for further treatment.
The helicopter with doctors from the Military Hospital 175 on board successfully flew the patient to the mainland.
Then, the patient from Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
