According to a brief report from Yen Bai province, due to the influence of the third storm, the province witnessed torrential rains. The flooding and inundation killed three people, blew off the roofs of 214 houses, damaged more than 533 hectares of rice, collapsed six electric poles, eroded six schools in Tram Tau district. Some localities in the province suffered from traffic jams, and 269 houses at risk of landslides were evacuated to safer places.

Implementing the direction of the Military Region 2 Command, Yen Bai’s armed forces mobilized 2,232 troops to overcome storm consequences, coordinated with Regiment 174 of Division 316 to deploy 300 troops to help local people and local authorities to surmount flood aftermath.

In Thac Ba townlet, Yen Binh district, Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang requested the Military Region 2 Command to team up with other forces to evacuate people and properties in flood-hit areas to safe places, conduct effective dissemination to minimize risks and natural disasters, and damage to both humans and property. 

On the same day, Gen. Thang inspected Yen Bai city, directed forces to promptly support flood-hit people in isolated areas and develop plans for the safe evacuation.

The Military Region 2 Command and the Yen Bai provincial Military Command also promptly provided gifts and support to families having their members dead or injured due to the storm.
