The Women’s Union Organization of the Tuyen Quang provincial Military Command offers gifts and school supplies to needy students in Luong Thien commune, Son Duong district.

In particular, the organizing panel gave free medical examination, health counseling, and medicines to policy beneficiaries and people in Da Vi commune (Na Hang district) and Luong Thien commune (Son Duong district).

Also, the program was accompanied by Hung Vuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Heart Foundation of the Vietnam Television (VTV), the Northern General Hospital, among others.

After two days, the delegation provided free health check-ups and medicines for 1,026 local people, presented 1,000 gifts to policy beneficiaries, the elderly, Agent Orange/dioxin victims, and needy people.

On the occasion, the command and the women’s union organization of the command offered 5 bicycles, 30 gifts, books, notebooks, and school supplies to students with excellent academic results and needy policy beneficiaries. The sponsors handed over two breeding cows to two families in difficult conditions, granted 20 bicycles to needy students and provided VND 40 million to a family to build a new house.

According to Mr. Trieu Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Luong Thien commune Party Committee, the program highlighted the tradition “When drinking water, remember the source.” It created a great encouragement for people in Tuyen Quang to promote revolutionary traditions and foster the province’s development.
