GDL’s leaders presenting gifts to policy households

During the event, Gen. Cuong presented GDL’s gifts, while the Military Hospital 354 handed over 5.6 tons of rice and gifts from the hospital’s staff to the policy households in Quang Vinh commune. The hospital also gave medical equipment to local clinic and a water purifier to the People’s Committee of Quang Vinh commune.

At the same time, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint Stock Company 22 Senior Colonel Ta Cao Phong presented hundreds of gifts, mostly the company’s products, such as bowl, spoon, and dry food... to local schools and policy households. Many other practical gifts were also handed over to local people by the hospital’s partners, such as the Military Broadcasting Center, Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, among others.

On the same day, the GDL held a ceremony to inaugurate a gratitude house to present to Ha Van Thang’s family who are in charge of martyr worshiping in Lung Xom village. The general department supported VND 80 million to build the house. On the occasion, in Quang Vinh commune, nearly 50 medical staff of the hospital provided free health check-ups and medicines to more than 200 people. Earlier, the GDL’s officers distributed leaflets to ethnic minority people in Quang Vinh commune.

Addressing the event, Gen. Cuong affirmed that over the past year, the general department has effectively participated in the program of socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the locality, building new-style rural areas, overcoming natural disasters’ aftermath, and providing free healthcare service to policy households, among others. These activities have contributed to raising public living standards, gradually successfully conducting national target programs on socio-economic development.

On behalf of the local authorities, Secretary of Quang Vinh commune’s Party Committee Dam Thi Hue thanked the hospital, military enterprises and sponsors for their care and compassion. She affirmed that the locals will take full advantage of the gifts and hope to receive more care from the units, contributing to the development of the locality.
