To ensure the success of the voyage, before the departure, technicians double-checked the engines and equipment of Ship 744 and other preparations.
Visiting and presenting New Year gifts to troops and people on the Truong Sa Islands is a regular activity of Flotilla 129 with the aim to encourage and strengthen solidarity among forces working at sea.
According to Ship 744’s Captain Lieutenant Commander Le Minh Sum, in spite of voyaging in an unfavorable condition, the ship’s crew-members have overcome difficulties and been determined to take the mission and New Year gifts to the Truong Sa Islands safely.
Voyages on the last days of the year are always special ones as they demonstrate the mainland’s sentiment and love for Truong Sa troops and people. Gifts from the mainland serve as a source of encouragement for troops to firmly safeguard maritime sovereignty and support fishermen to fish at sea.
During the visit, the mission will also check the management and operation of docks and fishing villages in 2021 and supplement them with equipment and necessities to help them better support fishermen in the coming time.
