Distressed people saved at sea
PANO – Troops from Tra Co Border Guard Post of the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard Command saved two drowning women on June 28.
Accordingly, at 7:50 a.m. on the day, a patrol team of the border post saw two drowning women when patrolling near To Chim Mountain in Tra Co ward, Mong Cai city. The border troops immediately rushed to the scene, saved the two women, and took them to shore.
The victims, who are from Tra Co ward, had an accident when digging clams near To Chim Mountain. They are now recovering and go home later.

* At 9:00 a.m. the same day, doctors of Sinh Ton Island’s Infirmary in Truong Sa (Spratly) island district received and provided first aid for a patient suffering from a stroke.
Previously, at 12:00 p.m., fisherman Nguyen Thanh from Quang Ngai province had spasticity and half of his body went paralyzed. He even could not breathe normally.
His workmates on Fishing Vessel QNg 95999 TS immediately took him to Sinh Ton Island Infirmary for first aid. By 9:00 p.m. the same day, the patient arrived at the infirmary. He then received infusion and was placed on an oxygen ventilator and a catheter.
Fortunately, the patient’s health is now recovering and he will be taken care of by doctors of the infirmary.
