Distressed fisherman rescued at sea
PANO - The Border Guard Station of Diem Diem Port under the Border Guard Command of Thai Binh province, on July 13 successfully rescued a distressed fisherman at sea.

Earlier, at 13:00 on July 13, the unit received a mayday signal from trawler TB-90066TS, captained by Nguyen Trong Nen born in 1967. Fisherman Pham Van Dien from Vu Dong village, Thuy Xuan commune, Thai Thuy district had suffered significant blood loss due to his right hand being crushed in an accident while fishing at sea.
Immediately, the Border Guard Station of Diem Diem Port sent a canoe with five troops to the scene for a rescue mission.
More than one hour later, the canoe reached the troubled trawler, gave the distressed fisherman first aid, and took him ashore for further treatment.
