Nghe An border guards rescue distressed fishermen at sea
PANO - The Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command successfully saved a troubled trawler with 15 crew-members at sea on June 14.

Earlier, at 10:30 on June 13, the trawler, numbered NA 97175 TS, captained by Tran Dinh Chat from Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, experienced main engine failure while fishing about 72 nautical miles off the Eastern Dragon cape of Nghe An province. The captain then sent a mayday signal to the mainland.
After receiving the information, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with each other to look for the troubled boat, and sent ship CN 09 (BP 09.16.01) with 15 troops aboard to the scene for a rescue mission.
After more than 24 hours, the ship reached the troubled trawler, gave the distressed fisherman first aid, and then towed the trawler to Lach Quen fishing port, Nghe An province.
