The delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at the provincial war cemetery. They later visited heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Toan, aged 93, residing in Tan Lap ward, and presented gifts to local wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ families, policy beneficiaries.

On behalf of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense, Gen. Giang emphasized that the Party, State and military always bear in mind the contributions of heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, national contributors, policy beneficiaries and other people who sacrificed their youth and even lives for national independence and freedom.
At the working session with the Dak Lak provincial Party Committee, Gen. Giang highly appreciated the prominent leadership achievements gained by local Party committee and authorities, helping to meet all goals and tasks set for the first half of this year. He highlighted their sense of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, and pro-activeness in preparing for the merger and implementation of the two-tier local administration model.

Gen. Giang asked local Party committee and authorities to continue taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, national contributors, martyrs’ families; carrying out policy for the military and troops’ families to ensure that troops focus their minds on work and complete all assignments.
During his working visits at the provincial Military Command, Public Security Force and Border Guard Command, Gen. Giang requested them to raise responsibility, pro-actively coordinate with relevant forces to grasp local situations, uphold political security and social order and safety in designated areas. He urged them to continue to strictly observe duty regulations, heighten vigilance, and stay ready in any circumstances. They should also improve the quality of training and exercises, promote ties with local residents, maintain preparedness in natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue to minimize damage to people and property, as well as strengthen whole people defense posture coupled with strong people’s security, whole people border guard, and people’s heart disposition.

Aware of the provincial armed forces’ difficulties after the recent merger, the defense chief asked functional agencies under the Ministry of National Defense to promptly provide them with more vehicles and materials for training and combat readiness posture; and give a financial support of VND 50 million to each of the eight military personnel suffering from reproductive complications.

Gen. Giang also informed that the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense would present VND 150 billion to Dak Lak province to build a semi-boarding primary and secondary school in the border area, which is expected to be put into operation in the 2026-2027 school year.
