Defense-Economic Unit 379’s troops equip people in border areas with farming techniques

An overview of the refresher course

The event, running from August 28 to September 9, has attracted the participation of more than 250 local officials, heads of villages, and local people who have benefited from policies within a socio-economic development model, titled “Troops are in close connection with ethnic minority people in Muong Cha Defense-Economic Zone.”

During the refresher course, Defense-Economic Unit 379 collaborated with Dien Bien province’s Seedling and Breeding Center to compile training materials, provide techniques of planting and taking care of plants and raising animals as well as disease prevention methods for trainees.

In addition, participants visited some effective domestic economy development models and outstanding production models in Defense-Economic Unit 379.

On the occasion, troops of Defense-Economic Unit 379 disseminated laws and provided legal consultation on the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies on ethnic and religious affairs to participants and updated them with information related to the hostile and reactionary forces’ abuse of religious and ethnic affairs to sabotage the Party and State.
