Cultural house unveiled in border area
PANO – A joint delegation of the Border Guard Command and the People’s Police Academy unveiled a cultural house for locals in Tung Sang hamlet, A Mu Sung commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, on May 19.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the People’s Police Academy, and Major General Le Nhu Duc, Deputy Political Director of the Border Guards, attended the inauguration ceremony.

After more than two months of construction, the 300 sq.m. facility was completed at a cost of over VND 600 million, which was raised by troops of the Border Guard Command and the People’s Police Academy. The A Mu Sung Border Station donated over 150 working days to the building of the facility.
At the ceremony, General Duc handed over a set of speakers and amplifiers, worth nearly VND 100 million, to Tung Sang hamlet’s authorities. The participating units also presented 18 gifts to needy families in the area.
The same day, leaders of the two units witnessed a twinning ceremony between the two Youth Union branches of the People’s Police Academy and the A Mu Sung Border Station.
Earlier, the delegation offered incense to pay gratitude to war martyrs at the War Martyrs Memorial of the A Mu Sung Border Station.
