The 60sq.m.-house will be built at a cost of VND 100 million, including VND 60 million from the “Day for the Needy” fund of the Military Region 1 Command. The remainder is from the veteran’s own family. In addition, the local armed forces and authorities will also donate working days to help build the gratitude house and it is expected that the house will be handed over to the veteran’s family by August 15.
The construction is both practical and meaningful to the family, showing the tradition of “Uong nuoc nho nguon” (When drinking water, remember its source) and the care of the Party, the State, the military and the local authorities for policy beneficiaries and national contributors. It will also contribute to helping them overcome hardships and strive for a better life.
