Commando Brigade 5’s troops build houses for flood-hit people

PANO - Implementing “Quang Trung Campaign,” regardless of rest days or unstable weather conditions with alternating sunshine and rain, officers and soldiers of Brigade 5 of the Commando Corps have continued to work tirelessly to complete houses for local residents, enabling them to soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

The brigade was assigned the task of directly constructing and supporting housing for 30 households that suffered severe damage after floods in Khanh Hoa province. Some construction sites are located more than 100 kilometers from the unit, with extremely difficult access, while at others the transportation of building materials remains challenging.

Nevertheless, the unit has mobilized substantial manpower, including 15 construction teams and two repair teams, with more than 200 officers and soldiers, making full use of every day and every hour to accelerate progress. New houses are gradually taking shape in poor rural areas, bringing joy and hope to flood-affected residents.
