In response to the urgent needs of the locality severely affected by flooding, and in implementing “Quang Trung Campaign,” the Military School of Army Corps 34 was assigned to directly assist and support six households whose houses had been completely destroyed, organizing the reconstruction of new houses to ensure safety and help residents stabilize their lives before the Lunar New Year.

The unit completed two houses and handed them over to the family of Le Thi Hoa and the family of Nguyen The Kien, both in Chanh Hoi hamlet, Ngo May commune. Each house has an area of more than 60 square meters and the construction began in early December 2025. In addition to financial support from the State, the families pro-actively borrowed additional funds to ensure construction quality, progress, and functional use of the houses.

Speaking at the inauguration and handover ceremony, the school’s Director Senior Colonel Bui Van Khiem emphasized that the school has been fully aware of the responsibility of military units toward the people, especially during times of hardship and adversity caused by natural disasters. On that basis, the Party Committee and the School’s Board of Directors thoroughly grasped the task with a high level of determination, assigned specific responsibilities to officers in charge, and effectively promoted the roles and responsibilities of each individual and unit in carrying out the mission of assisting the people. At the same time, they regularly encouraged officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties, make full use of time, and accelerate construction progress.

“The completion and handover of these houses to the families ahead of the Lunar New Year not only help them quickly stabilize their lives and feel secure in daily living, but also contribute to maintaining and further strengthening the military-civilian solidarity, a firm foundation of the all-people’s defense,” Col. Khiem stressed.

In an emotional moment, Le Thi Hoa said, “My family lost our house in the recent storms and floods, and we thought it would be a long time before we could rebuild it. Thanks to the dedicated, responsible assistance and tireless spirit of the officers and soldiers of the Military School of Army Corps 34, who worked regardless of hardships, sun or rain, my family now has a new, solid, and clean house. We deeply cherish and will always remember the sentiments of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”
