Coast guards upgrade houses for needy servicemen

Coast Guard Region 2’s representatives hand over gifts to the family of Major Nguyen Quang Thiet.

The events were attended by Mrs. Truong My Hoa, former Vice State President, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Chairwoman of the “For beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” Club; Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command Senior Colonel Tran Hong Que.

Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the “For beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” Club donated VND 160 million (VND 80 million per house) to support the families of Major Nguyen Quang Thiet, an officer of the Staff Department, and Non-commissioned Major Huynh Van Dieu, a medical staff of the Logistics Department of Coast Guard Region 2 to upgrade the houses.

On the occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented a washing machine to the family of Major Nguyen Quang Thiet and a water filter to the family of Non-commissioned Major Huynh Van Dieu.
