Speaking highly of the practical and humane significance of the program, head of the district Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Van Khoa stressed that it demonstrated the country’s tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “gratitude paying” towards great sacrifices of fallen troops, heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy beneficiaries. It also upheld the tradition of solidarity, compassion, and timely sharing to encourage disadvantaged fishermen and students to rise in life. These activities, as the local official said, showed the responsibility and care of the coast guard force in general and Flotilla 42 in particular for needy coastal people, driving them to weather difficulties and continue to reach out to sea.
