Coast Guard Region 3 saves distressed trawler at sea
PANO - Ship 6008 of Coast Guard Region 3, on April 7, safely towed trawler NT 91205 TS with three fishermen on board to Con Dao island district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Earlier, at 22:15 on April 5, the Coast Guard Region 3, received information about a distressed trawler, numbered NT 91205 TS, captained by Le Dinh Dung (born in 1981) from Phuoc Dien, Thuan Nam, Ninh Thuan.
Reportedly, the trawler had problem with its propeller while fishing at sea and then went adrift and was about to sink about 32 nautical miles southwest of Phu Quy island, Binh Thuan province.
In response to the situation, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command sent Ship 6008 to the scene for search and rescue missions.
Despite harsh weather conditions, Ship 6008 approached the distressed trawler and conducted rescue work and then towed the trawler ashore.
Currently, the fishermen on the trawler are in good health condition. The unit is completing procedures to hand over them to their families.
