In particular, the mission visited and gave gifts to Vi Xuyen district’s Military Command under the Ha Giang provincial Military Command, Thanh Thuy Border Post of the provincial Border Guard Command, Economic-Defense Mission 313, and Military Region 2’s team for search and collection of remains of fallen soldiers.

During the visit, the visiting delegates were briefed on units’ task performance in 2021.

Acknowledging the units’ outstanding achievements, the deputy chief of the General Staff asked them to bring into play obtained positive results and overcome all challenges to fulfill upcoming missions. In particular, together with maintaining training and combat readiness regulations and promoting information dissemination and law education for troops, units in Military Region 2 should pay attention to pandemic prevention and control, natural disaster response, search and rescue, and mass mobilization work.

Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan also asked units’ leaders to pay due attention to carrying out policies for troops’ families, especially policy households and those with contribution to the revolution. In addition, units in the region should also take care of troops’ material and spiritual life, so as to encourage them to study and fulfill all assigned missions.

On the occasion, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan handed over the CMC’s and MND’s gifts to Thanh Thuy commune and policy beneficiaries in Vi Xuyen district.
