According to Duyet, it is necessary to equip people with law information so as to raise public awareness of law observance. Via the program, women will encourage and mobilize all family members to strictly adhere to the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws.
Besides, the border post has also sent troops to each household to disseminate law, while closely working with the Women’s Union organization of the commune to participate in border patrols. The activity has helped them understand more about the duties of border guards, thereby promoting information dissemination to their relatives.
According to Chairwoman of the Women’s Union organization of Thong Thu commune Lo Thi Tam, because of the close relationship and similarities in culture between the people on both sides of the borderline, many people crossed the borderline to pick bamboo and raise cattle in the past without knowing they were violating laws. However, since the dissemination work has been boosted, the number of border crossing cases has reduced remarkably.

In addition to law dissemination activities, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command has also supported the locals to develop economy and reduce poverty in border areas. Currently, the unit has sent 27 troops to border communes to both disseminate information about the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws and policies, and instructed the locals to develop household economy for poverty reduction.
In 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Xuan Tuyen was mobilized to Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district to help the local authorities strengthen the political system and develop economy. He himself learnt the ethnic language, while mobilizing the local people to develop their household economy. As a result, local residents’ life has gradually changed, contributing to ensuring social security and order in the area.
