Border guards rescue 19 passengers and crew-members in distress at sea
PANO – At 13 p.m. on November 22, fire suddenly broke out on a passenger ship, captained by Nguyen Dinh On, while it was only about 1km from Cua Dai port, according to Major Nguyen Hoang, Head of the Cua Dai Border Guard Station (Quang Nam province Border Guard).

After receiving the mayday signal, the Cua Dai Border Guard Station mobilized personnel and vehicles for the rescue mission.
The rescue force approached the ship and took 14 passengers and 5 crew-members on board ashore safely.
No one was injured in the fire, but the fire damaged 3 motorbikes and other assets on the ship.
