Border guard troops send gifts to needy people
PANO - The Can Thanh Border Guard Station under the Border Guard Command of Ho Chi Minh City, in association with local authorities on April 10 visited and presented gifts to needy households in Can Gio district.
Notably, the unit sent gifts to 30 households who used to live on selling lottery tickets and are having difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The units coordinated with local authorities to sew 5,000 face masks for poor people and present protective hats to doctors and troops who are undertaking tasks related to COVID-19 prevention and control.

On this occasion, Can Thanh Border Guard Station also mobilized sponsors to donate 10 thermometers, more than 1,300 hand sanitizer bottles, 200 bottles of disinfectant, 1,800 medical face masks, 5,000 cloth masks, nearly 600 bars of soap, and medical equipment to troops in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the past time, the unit has actively promoted COVID-19-related information to its troops and local people, thus raising their awareness of the pandemic prevention measures.
