Binh Thuan’s border guards to reinforce Phan Thiet in pandemic fight
PANO – The Border Guard Command of Binh Thuan province held a meeting on November 7 at Thanh Hai Border Post to assign missions to 30 border troops to reinforce Phan Thiet city’s efforts in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Briefing the participants on the developments of the pandemic in Phan Thiet city, the provincial Border Guard Command’s Political Commissar Senior Colonel Dinh Van Sau He praised border troops for their vanguard and voluntary spirit.

He believed that with high sense of responsibility and determination, reinforced medical staff will closely cooperate with local forces to fulfill the COVID-19 prevention and control missions, contributing to bringing life back to normal.
In particular, the reinforced troops of the provincial Border Guard Command will work with “on-the-spot” force and local authorities to manage people entering and leaving Phan Thiet city. They will also accelerate patrol to inspect local people’s observance of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations.
As reported, all participating troops have been fully vaccinated with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. Earlier, many of them conducted COVID-19 prevention and control missions in border areas in Tay Ninh province and La Gi town of Binh Thuan province.
