Air defense - air force troops conduct meaningful activities in Hanoi
PANO - Nearly 60 troops from affiliated units of the Air Defense - Air Force Service conducted various significant outdoor social activities in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district, Hanoi on December 19 to boost the military-civilian ties.
In the commune, the troops teamed up with local political and social organizations to clean up the local environment, trim ornamental trees, offered flowers to fallen troops at the commune’s war cemetery.

They also held cultural and art exchanges with the commune’s Veterans’ and Women’s Associations and a volleyball match between women from the Air Defense - Air Force Service’s Department of Politics and Hoanh Village.
The troops presented 237 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to local relatives of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
The troops’ mass mobilization drive, part of their activities in celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 30th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festival (December 22), left deep impression on local people, thus beautifying the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and eminent air defense - air force troops.
The activity helped boost the close coordination between the service and local Party Committee, authorities and people.
