Troops extinguish forest fires in Quang Ninh province

After receiving the information, the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command ordered the Ha Long City Military Command to send its troops and militiamen to coordinate with troops of Battalion 471 under Naval Infantry Brigade (Naval Region 1) to extinguish the forest fire.

At 1930, although the fire was put out, about 3.5 hectares of the pine forest was burnt down.

The same day, at 17:10, another forest fire broke out in Ha Long city. Accordingly, the Ha Long City Military Command sent its troops, in collaboration with militiamen and local people, to extinguish the fire. At 1810, the fire was under control.
