Naval troops of Naval Region 2 preparing Tet gifts to present to DK1 platform and Con Dao island district

PANO - A number of Tet gifts on board the HQ 621 and HQ 609 are on route to DK1 platform and Con Dao island district of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to ensure troops and islanders a warm Tet holiday.

Departing on January 15th at the port of Flotilla 812 of Naval Region 2, the two ships are carrying daily necessities and specialties nationwide as phrynium leaves, green bean, vermicelli made of cassava, onion, garlic and especially peach and yellow apricot blossoms, typical flowers of the North and the South during Tet holidays.

The gifts are the sentiment of organs, businesses, people nationwide and the Naval Region 2 Command to troops and islanders.

Captain Truong Cong The, Deputy Political Commissar of the Naval Region 2 Command said these gifts are the encouragement for troops on DK1 platform and islanders on Con Dao Island and at the same time the driving force for them to firmly defend the nation’s sacred seas and islands.
